Bath Art Fair 2025...
Another fabulous show at Bath’s Pavilion. In the lead up I was offered a video by filmmaker Becca Luger (see link) which brilliantly encapsulated (in 1 min 30 secs!) what I and my work is all about. I also felt privileged that one of my paintings ‘Obsession - Moon and Moths’ was used for Show ads and banners around town (fun spotting them!)
Watercolour workshops...
Fun Saturdays with adult groups wanting to improve their watercolour painting knowledge and skills. After trying out lots of new methods and materials they painted their own winter-themed robins, framed them up and took them home to hang with pride. I’ll be teaching new classes in 2025, email me to sign up to my Newsletter and find out when and where they’ll be on.
Bugs at school...
Sometimes it’s good to give something back - to nature and to the next generation of nature nurturers. A class in N Somerset got a Bug Hotel and a workshop in the summer, we’re hoping lots of residents will move in for the children to visit next Spring.
TWASI Show 2024...
It’s always exciting to see a group of artists at the top of their game. I joined the prestigious TWASI - The Wildlife Art Society International this year and showed at their summer show at the gorgeous Nature in Art Museum & Art Gallery in Glos. What a wonderful event, I’d urge you to visit next year - 24 May to 1 June 2025.
On the Wing takes flight...
A collaboration of 7 artists, all mediums from glass to ceramics, paper to paint with one thing in common - we all love to depict birds and winged insects. This is the first time we’ve shown together, choosing the fabulous Prior Shop Gallery in Bristol’s Cabot Circus as our venue. The exhibition went down a storm and I’m sure we’ll show together again soon.
Bath Art Fair 2024...
Such a joy to see all my current paintings all together at the wonderful Bath Pavillion show space. Hundreds of visitors stopped by for conversations about favourite birds and bugs and purchases were made. Thank you to all who attended, can’t wait to do it all again next Feb 2025!
NSAW, I'm in!..
I’m so excited to be part of this prestigious trail of over 200 artists, and in its 21st anniversary year. I’m turning my home into a pop-up gallery full of paintings, prints, cards, small works and collectibles. My (rather large!) collection of natural history objects and curios are also on display. Special prices throughout the week.
Arts Skills Workshops Underway...
I had the fun and privilege of passing on some skills recently to a fab bunch of kids. From the comfort of my sunroom workspace, they learnt the fundamentals of still-life drawing with natural objects for inspo. They also tried their hand at water-colour painting and making their own bee and flower clay pendants. More fun workshops are in the pipeline for both children and adults, watch this space.
Greetings Cards Now In Stock...
Beautiful cards depicting some of my large artworks have flown in! I’m thrilled with these mini works of art. They are printed on recycled and recyclable stock with vegetable inks by leading eco printers A Local Printer - and the quality is wonderful. At 14.8 x 14.8 cm I think they’d look super-cute in little frames if you can’t bear to give them away!
